The Pastiche
Learning Pathway
|
|
The
Pastiche Learning Pathway
currently consists of two steps; Foundation knowledge and Master Class
seminars. For maximum learning potential, the seminars should be attended
in order along the pathway, however prior learning may have provided sufficient
knowledge and experience for individuals to attempt the Master Class
series as their first step.
In the near future there will be three steps in the Pastiche learning
pathway as follows:

Core Information
Webinars (Coming 2011)
These webinars are designed for individuals with limited
knowledge about the skin, typically therapists and estheticians
with less than 1200 hours base training and limited post
graduate experience. The goal of these e-seminars is to provide
core knowledge to enable participants of the Foundation seminars
to better assimilate the information and be more confident
during the practical sessions. The format will be a presentation
followed by an on-line assessment.

Foundation
Knowledge Seminars
The Advanced Skin Analysis seminar is considered the foundation
seminar as the skills learned here are the foundation of
understanding for all subsequent Master Class programs. This is
intensive education that will require participants to prior lean
many facets of the anatomy and physiology of the skin in order
to understand the topics and techniques discussed. The book
"Advanced Skin Analysis" provides much of this
information.

Master Class
Seminars
As the name suggests, Master Class seminars are designed
primarily for graduates of Foundation classes, and individuals
with a high level of prior learning and industry experience. The
goal of these seminars is to provide advanced information,
skills and techniques to enable clinical aestheticians and skin
treatment therapists to be able to confidently work with
Physicians and other medical professionals or just provide
advanced and effective corrective skin treatments.
Current Master Class seminars include: Diagnostic
Analysis Masters, Cosmetic
Chemistry, Pigmentation
& Melanogenesis, Ageing
skin and Skin
Disorders.

Learning credits for continuing
education

practitioners to maintain and improve their skills is through a
planned
programme of
continuing professional education.
